This brief highlights important findings from the FPwatch 2016 India outlet survey in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar from June – September, 2016. FPwatch provides estimates for key family planning market indicators using cross-sectional outlet surveys representative at the state level. In India, more than 20,000 outlets across 678 clusters were enumerated (i.e. identified as outlets with potential to sell or provide modern contraceptive commodities and services). Among the over 19,000 that were screened, over one-fifth provided information on condoms and 21 percent met at least one of the three eligibility criteria.
