Society for Family Health (SFH) Rwanda, an affiliate of Population Services International (PSI) global network, is committed to improving nutrition in the country and contributing towards national development, Manasseh Wandera, SFH executive director, has said.
Wandera said SFH is working closely with the Ministry of Health to help the country realize its development agenda in line with the Second Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy (EDPRS II) and the Rural Sector Support Program (RSSP III).
“Although the funds come from donors, our major aim is to contribute to the national strategy agenda such as achieving the EDPRS II and RSSP III, among others,” he said.
He said RSSP 111 is being scaled up across the country in order to fight malnutrition which is a major public health concern among Rwandans. SFH Rwanda nutrition programs are funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Rwanda social Marketing program (RSMP), and UN Reach through the Scaling up Nutrition (SUN) program.
