Ms. Ayenekulu is PSI/Ethiopia’s Project Director for RISE, Roadmap to Integrating Smart Start in Ethiopia and leads a large dynamic team in the design and implementation of the project which will reach 1 million girls with family planning counseling sessions. Ms. Ayenekulu has a Master’s degree on Women and Gender in development and has more than 15 years of experience working to improve gender equality and girl’s empowerment. She is a former Aspen Institute New Voices Fellow and is a passionate advocate for sexual reproductive health rights especially for young girls.
