As part of its commitment to the advancement of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for women and girls, Canadian Minister of International Development Marie-Claude Bibeau announced today at the International Conference on Family Planning CA$104.4 million in funding for projects that take a comprehensive approach to SRHR.
PSI has been awarded $8 million over three years in Niger, Mali and Cote d’Ivoire as part of this commitment. Programs in each of these countries focus on comprehensive SRHR programs in their contexts, including a focus on demand creation, access among hard-to-reach populations through mobile services; expanding access to post-abortion care and safe legal abortion where possible.
