Join us for the launch of the first ever SCTG State of Self-Care Report. The webinar will include a brief synopsis of report findings, key highlights and takeaways, and updates and insights from report authors.
This session will address why self-care should be placed at the heart of the UHC agenda. It aims to mobilize support for the UHC2030 Political Declaration to acknowledge the vital role of self-care explicitly and directly – ultimately mainstreaming this innovative approach within UHC actions at the global and national levels.
The hybrid session will gather advocates, implementers, policymakers, donors, providers, and researchers to engage in the role of self-care in achieving gender equality and UHC. Those not at the conference will be invited to join the fireside chat virtually.
As we approach the UN High-Level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage (UHC), we have an unprecedented opportunity to put in place the policies and resources needed to achieve health equity and security. In this issue, look at ways self-care is broadening access to entry points into the health system, offering a path for countries to achieve UHC in 2030 and beyond.
Over the course of our 12 Days of UHC celebration, members of the Self-Care Trailblazer Group (SCTG) shared insights and lessons on how self-care and universal health coverage (UHC) are not only interconnected, but also mutually reinforcing. We invite you to explore each piece and to amplify our call — to build the world we want: a healthy future for all.
This month, the SCTG Secretariat and countless SCTG members attended the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) 2022. Now, leading up to the High-Level Meeting on UHC in 2023, we must continue to capitalize on this momentum to ensure self-care is recognized as a critical component of both SRHR and UHC moving forward.
