The Ministry of Health (MoH) has said new HIV infections have reduced from 52,000 to 35,000 per year.
MoH Spokesperson, Henry Chimbali disclosed this in an interview on Wednesday, attributing it to an increased number of people living with HIV who are on Anti Retroviral Drugs, high condom use which is included in behavior change interventions and the inclusion of option B plus in Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) programme.
