To increase voluntary, modern contraceptive use and reduce unintended pregnancy among adolescent girls between the ages of 15 and 19 in Ethiopia, Nigeria and Tanzania, Adolescents 360 acknowledges that youth are important partners in research.
In collaboration with youth partners from Adolescents 360’s target communities, the Center on the Developing Adolescent at University of California Berkeley, and IDEO.org, PSI led formative research in order to:
- Gain an in-depth understanding of adolescents’ needs, barriers, and motivations to use contraception;
- Develop insights into their lives, hopes, and desires;
- Identify adolescents’ key influencers.
