PSI and partners are mobilizing support to help ensure an ongoing supply of safe drinking water for people in Haiti, along with general relief efforts, following the devastating earthquake that has destroyed much of the capital city of Port-au-Prince. PSI has 80 staff members working in the country and we are taking all possible steps to ensure their safety and security, a matter of utmost concern to us.
“Early reports from our team on the ground indicate that some staff members remain unaccounted for,” said Moussa Abbo, Regional Director at PSI. “Our main concern now is to locate all missing staff members to ensure that they are properly cared for. We’re asking anyone who knows of the whereabouts of any PSI/Haiti staff member to contact us. Our staff and their loved ones join all Haitians in our thoughts today.”
PSI will continue to update with information as it becomes available.
