PSI and partners are currently assessing the impact caused by the devastating earthquake that has destroyed much of the capital city of Port-au-Prince. With roughly 80 international and local staff in the country, PSI is also taking all possible steps to ensure the safety and security of its staff members, a matter of utmost concern to all PSI staff around the world.
“Early reports from our team on the ground indicate that some staff members remain unaccounted for,” said Moussa Abbo, Regional Director at PSI. “Our main concern now is to locate all missing staff members to ensure that they are properly cared for. We’re asking anyone who knows of the whereabouts of any PSI/Haiti staff member to contact us. Our staff and their loved ones join all Haitians in our thoughts today.”
PSI and partners are working together to ensure that those affected by the earthquake are provided necessary relief in the coming days and months. PSI will continue to update with information as it becomes available.
