The most recent reports from our team on the ground confirm the desperate need for water among survivors of the earthquake. While many of the major thoroughfares in the capital city of Port-au-Prince are passable, movement within the city is still slow-going and relief organizations are working together to ensure that water, food and medical services are delivered to victims as quickly as possible.
Most of the nearly 100 PSI/Haiti staff members who were in the country when the earthquake struck have been accounted for.
PSI will continue to update with information as it becomes available.
