By Michael Holscher, Chief Delivery Officer, PSI
The global health and development landscape is shifting dramatically. PSI’s 2018-2020 global strategy, Reimagining Healthcare, welcomes these shifts and commits PSI to evolving the value we deliver as an international NGO in helping to shape mixed public-private health systems towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Our strategy leverages our long history of using consumer and market insights to guide decision-making and ensure the individual remains the agent of her own health and well-being.
This shift is now well underway across the PSI network, with more and more of our country programs leading and managing significant transitions – from vertical implementers to horizontal influencers and shapers of mixed health systems; from competitive doers to more open and transparent partners and collaborators; from a proxy for external donor agencies to a supportive partner to national governments and other national organizations.
To accelerate this change, earlier this month we announced organizational changes that have resulted in a smaller headquarters staff in Washington and more decision-making power and investment in and near our country programs and PSI Network Members. The role of our global teams will be increasingly reoriented to connecting our network through a shared vision and strategy, innovation and learning, technical leadership and standards, systems and assurance.
Toward this end, we are pleased to announce the following leadership appointments in our new Delivery Division:
Regional Representatives:
Farai Chieza – East and Southern Africa (Nairobi, Kenya)
Stephanie Gallagher – West and Central Africa
Eric Seastedt – Asia (Vientiane, Laos)
Susy Barrios de Fernandez – Latin America and Caribbean (Guatemala City, Guatemala)

Head of Market Dynamics and Analytics: Seth McGovern
Head of Program Management -Africa: Catalina Jermann
