From December 4-8, PSI will join thousands of the world’s most prominent public health experts, clinicians and community members to mark the 16th ICASA Conference under the theme Own, Scale up and Sustain in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Please visit the conference website for more information on the conference.
The conference serves as a platform to mobilize African leaders, partners and communities to increase ownership, commitment and support to the response against AIDS, and as a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
While tremendous gains have been made in curbing the HIV epidemic around the world, Africa remains a region still heavily impacted.
PSI has implemented HIV programs in Africa since 1988. Currently working in 31 African countries, PSI provides access to testing centers, condoms, and behavior change communication on HIV/AIDS. PSI will showcase its work at ICASA 2011 with four posters and 4 oral presentations.
