COVID-19 has sounded a wake-up call for the global HIV response: we must bring HIV prevention and treatment services out of the clinic and closer to those who need it. And on the first two days of AIDS 2020: Virtual we’ve heard from PSI’s experts and HIV experts across the world about topics like PrEP, self-testing and linkages to care—all with the consumer in mind.
On Monday, July 6 and Tuesday, July 7, here’s where PSI and our projects shared learnings about the global HIV response. Links to recordings of each session will be added as they become available.

👏👏👏 to Dr Albert Liu from @sf_dph for saying we need to “implement an anti-racist approach to PrEP” as one of the steps to making it more people centred. True of our domestic and international response. #TheNextFuture #PowerInMyHands #AIDS2020Virtual @PSIimpact

Gender inequality continues to restrict women’s control in deciding how, when and with whom they have sex, increasing their risk of HIV infection.
This is unacceptable. #AIDS2020Virtual— UNAIDS (@UNAIDS) July 6, 2020
#AIDS2020VIRTUAL #HIVST at workplaces reduces testing gaps, tests those who never test/do not test often enough, reduces opportunity cost of testing for workers, gives workers a choice, and provides potential for companies to pay for test kits @ilo https://t.co/jo8Zl1ycVN
